Lila

Lila is a little five year old girl. She loves to  draw, color, and play with her toy bear. Claire is her big sister and she takes care of her, but she's very busy studying and working to support the house so Lila spends a lot of time alone. But Lila understands. She's got an older mind and is good perceiving things. She doesn't talk much, though.

Claire's arrival - December 2013

Claire wasn't my first BJD, but she was my first MSD sized. She arrived last December, I ordered her from Denver Doll Emporium exactly on August 21 and arrived on December 13. However, I didn't open her box until Christmas. She was a gift I bought for myself.
In the beginning I thought she would be a blonde girl. At the moment I like her better as a brunette, but that could change in the future. Bring able to change wigs and eye colors is part of the fun of having a BJD!
Claire is a Fairyland Minifee, the sculpt of her face is Chloe. She's such a beautiful doll! It was a bit hard to come with a suitable name for her. When I thought of "Claire" it made sense. Starts with the same letter and is also a short name. Maybe they're strange reasons to decide on a name LOL!
Below you will find one of the first pics I took of her. She arrived with huge blue eyes from Fairyland.
It's not a good pic. It was at night when I opened her box.
At first I was a bit intimidated by her, but that's getting better.
Until next time!

The first entry is a real pain for a person with a lack of creativity....

Long title, huh? Well it's true. I'm aware of my strengths and weaknesses and I can honestly say that creativity isn't something I possess. Although I've always wanted to have a doll blog it's hard for me to follow up because I don't have as many ideas. But I do think developing your dolls' characters and writing stories about them is part of the fun, I've seen how that is for some of my friends, so here I am giving it a shot!

I've been a doll collector for 14 years now...  not for the same doll, that has shifted during the years. Cabbage Patch, My Child, Baby Face, an attempt to reborn, American Girl, and now BJD's.  At this point it's hard to imagine not having dolls of some sort! In between of all the challenges life sometimes brings, dolls are a nice escape from stress. They help me relax and forget about the problems.

I currently own three BJDs, all from Fairyland. Below is my beloved Claire, she's my favorite doll! I will write more about her next time.

Let me ask you... do you have a doll blog? How hard is it to follow up on it?
Do you have a favorite doll?

Thank you for taking the time for reading this small post. Hopefully you will visit my blog again!
Kind regards,
PinkyPris.
